The Beginning of Mopadz – A Story About Making Desks Less Boring
Hey! Let me tell you how Mopadz started.
You know that feeling when you’re sitting at your desk, maybe grinding through a tough game, working on a project, or just scrolling through Reddit, and something just feels… missing? That’s exactly how this whole thing began for me.
The “What If” Moment
I kept looking at my desk setup and thinking, “What if deskpads could be cooler than this?” Like, way cooler. Not just another boring piece of gear, but something that actually makes you smile when you look at it. Something that feels like it’s yours, you know?
And let’s be real – finding good deskpads in India that don’t cost a kidney? Pretty much impossible. That’s when I thought, “Screw it, let’s make our own.”
Making It Happen
Getting our first batch of deskpads was wild. After months of going crazy over details, bothering suppliers, and probably sending way too many emails about fabric quality, they finally arrived. Opening that first box? My heart was racing.
And they turned out perfect! We went all in on quality because, honestly, what’s the point otherwise? Here’s what we did:
- Made them 800x300mm (trust me, it’s the sweet spot for most desks)
- Kept them 4mm thick (comfy, but not chunky)
- Used two different top materials:
- The “speed” ones with this super smooth microwoven cloth (for when you need those crispy flicks in-game)
- The “control” ones with this sick jacquard fabric (for when you need that extra precision)
Oh, and we’re working on getting some Poron base deskpads going. If you’re into gaming, you know this is the good stuff.
The Designs (This Is Where It Gets Fun)
